What's new with us...

sorry this one is sideways!

17 weeks

Ethan is a cowboy at VBS

This one was too funny not to post!

So sorry it has been a month since I last wrote anything, but we have been super busy. Between end of the year festivities, Cub Scout Camp, VBS, and my every growing belly I have just not been able to find the time. Right now we are enjoy a few weeks of doing nothing before we leave for our long overdue vacation July 10! I can't wait. Even more exciting, we are having our Ultrasound on Monday and will hopefully find out whether there is a little boy or girl in there. Very Very exciting. Here are some pics of out life from the last few weeks. No rhyme or reason to them whatsoever!

School is almost out!~

we are now in the countdown to the last day of school. They have 12 1/2 days left and are so excited for summer. We are wrapping up soccer tomorrow morning (Thanks Goodness). we also have Cub Scout derby car races, that the boys are building cars for. The first week of summer Michael, Trace, and Austin will be at Cub Scout camp everyday from 8-4. Ethan and I will be at VBS at our church. We are also taking a vacation starting on July 10 and Trace is not thrilled to be on vacation for his birthday. I think he is scared he won't be getting a party and presents! We have had some big things going on this week. Ethan moved into his big boy bed and has slept 5 nights without complaint in it. The big boys have gone back to sharing a room and are on bunkbeds now. They love it. We also got a new mini-van this week, so I am super excited about that! There is so much room in there!

Doctor's appt.

I had another doctor's appt. in Wednesday April 29. They did an ultrasound and everything looks great. The baby was moving around and sucking his/her thumb. It was very exciting to see the baby and know that everything is great so far!

The little Peanut

We went to the doctor on Tuesday for my first appt. and everything looks good. He confirmed that I am due Nov. 11, and we even got to hear the heartbeat. He had no trouble finding it and it is was very strong. I go back May 12, so I will keep everybody posted on how that goes. Everyone is doing great. Austin and Trace are playing soccer on Saturdays and are having fun. Trace is involved in Cub Scouts and Michael recently took the job of Cubmaster for his group. They are in the process of building derby cars to race towards the end of the school year. I hope evryone is doing fine! Thanks for checking in!

Ethan cracks me up

Tonight Ethan and I were watching TV while Michael took the boys to Cub Scouts. The lady on TV was having a baby and I told Ethan "mommy is going to have a baby, too. it's in Mommy's belly". He lifted my shirt leaned over and looked in my belly button and said "HI". It was too cute. He has no clue what having a baby in you belly means, but it was still adorable!

Soccer

The boys had their first Upward soccer game on Saturday. I think they both had a good time and will hopefully get a little more involved in the game as the season goes on. Here are a few pics of their first day!

Another Tooth lost!

Trace lost his second tooth today. I wish I had a video of him when he realized it was coming out. I got a Kleenex and popped it out, but the blood always freaks him out! He was running around the house screaming and holding is breath! But as you can see in the picture he was quite proud a few hours later!

Ethan turned 2 on March 2! He is growing way too fast. He says so many words, which is a first for our family. After having 2 kids who were not so quick to speak it is an awesome experience to hear baby talk in the house! Some of his words are that guy, bye, hi, hey, all done, move, neigh, moo, doggie, duck, eat, night-night, kitty, mommy, daddy, bubba (brother), go, up, down.... just to name a few of my favorites. He had so much fun at his birthday party playing with all his cousins and friends!

The Jackson "5" no more!

So, exactly one week ago there were only about 3 people who knew about baby #4 and I think as of today everyone knows. But, if you don't..... SURPRISE! We are due Nov. 11 and although were totally shocked at first, now that has turned into extreme excitement. I feel totally up to the challenge of having 4 kids. I have no doubt that we can handle it and I think the boys will welcome another sibling with open arms. I will try and keep my blog updated with pictures and updates on Jackson Baby "4". So check back often!

Twilight update.....

Okay, so I finished Twilight and New Moon in three days....I'm taking a break tonight and picking up Eclipse tomorrow! I'm addicted, what can i say!

Bike riding and awesome report cards!

Two things happened in our house today!!!!
Trace got an awesome report card. He is reading on a level 15, which is above average for this time of year! He needs to be a level 17 by the end of the year and he started off at a level 5 in August! To think that we almost held him back in K because he wasn't reading yet!

Also, Austin decided to show us today that he learned to ride his bike without us even knowing! He just started riding!!!! Very very cool! His bike is too small and we had promised them both that when they learn to ride, they get a new bike. Trace doesn't have any interest in learning yet, though. It's a little too dangerous for him! I'll keep ya posted on when he decides to take the leap!

Trying to read Twilight

Okay, so i bought twilight about 2 weeks ago and it is still sitting in the same place on my nightstand! I thought since i don't get to go to the movies....EVER, then reading the book be better for me. So, you ask yourself why haven't I started it yet? Well, if you have a clue, let me know, because I sure don't!

This week

The things on my mind this week are

-our new president taking office
-my garage sale this weekend
-getting the boys ready for the camping trip

First, the pres! I have mixed feelings about him. As much as I would like to trust what he says and have hope that he can do the things he has promised. I just don't! I think he is a very nice man and a great father but I just don't see him leading our country. I pray that I am proven wrong, but I won't be holding my breath.

Second, I can't wait for the garage sale this weekend. I am looking at about 10 boxes piled in my hallway and can't wait to see them go. Hopefull I'll make some money as well! Put a little dent in all that Christmas shopping I did!

Third, the camping trip. My dad and Michael are taking the boys camping this weekend. Super exciting for them. They are going to get to fish, make S'mores, ride 4-wheelers, and sleep under the stars, what more could 2 little boys ask for?
